Why I serve with Ambassadors Football:
As a pastor I believe in making disciples for Christ! One of the best ways to engage those who don’t know the Lord is through their interests and passions. Many young people love football and we can intentionally build bridges of friendship through it. Ambassadors Football has a unique opportunity to reach the masses for the Lord through this avenue!

Why I serve with Ambassadors Football:
Psalm 78: 5-7 “He established a testimony in Jacob and appointed a law in Israel, which He commanded our fathers to teach to their children, that the next generation might know them, the children yet unborn, and arise and tell them to their children, so that they should set their hope in God and not forget the works of God, but keep His commandments.”
On a continent which has at least 60% of its population under the age of 30, this verse is the inspiration for my service in the role that I have at Ambassadors. To be a part of impacting the African youth for Christ and for service through soccer ministry is one I hold with high esteem and consider one of the greatest privileges I have had.

Dave has been married to Lynn (Campbell) since 1974 and has 2 children and 3 grandchildren. Dave is passionate about God’s word, how it is used, interpreted and applied. He spent most of his adult years in business. and left that to join the Pastoral staff at Calvary Chapel Steinbach in 2003 where he spent most of his time training the younger generation, discipling, and counseling. He retired from that position in 2017. Dave and Lynn have invested their lives in the next generation, viewing each situation from God’s word. Why I serve with Ambassadors Football:
God’s call on my life is to walk with people on the road of obedience to our Lord and Saviour. By God’s grace He connected Jon Ortlip and I by divine appointment and we continue to walk together. So, I am on the Global board as it is a step of simple obedience to the Lord.

I have served Ambassadors Football since 2002 and most recently as a Senior Advisor to its Global Ambassadors Board, Executive Director Jonathan Ortlip, and the global leadership team.
I have had the privilege of using my past financial and consulting experience involving well over 100 entrepreneurial companies and non-profit organizations to provide guidance and direction as Ambassadors has grown and scaled as an organization over the past 20+ years.
I am committed to its mission of reaching the next generation of 2 billion young people with the good news of the Gospel accomplished by engaging their interest in football and introducing them to an eternity-changing relationship with Jesus Christ.
My passion is to glorify God in building His Kingdom globally by obeying the Great Commission mandate.
I believe Ambassadors is uniquely positioned over the next few decades to help the Church connect with these youth by equipping coaches and providing them with tools such as TTG that will enable young people to both understand and believe the Gospel in faith.
